ACC Recycling Facility Tour

February 12th 4pm

We'll be take a tour of the Athens Recycling Center to see where that bottle goes after the bin and to learn more about innovative ways they are addressing waste.

 

Dinner and a Documentary: Bag It!

Bag the Bag is hosting a screening of the movie Bag It! which focuses on the economic, environmental, and health dangers of single-use plastic bags and of our growing dependency on plastics.

 

Water Conservation Percentage Night

Friday Feb. 28th 2-5pm at Ben & Jerry's

We're partnering with the ACC Water Conservation Office to promote water sustainability. Visit us at Ben and Jerry's to learn more about Athens water conservation initiatives. Also, 20% of procedes from 2-5 go straight to our semester of sustainable planning!

 

Recyclemania

Recyclemania is a nationwide program to promote recycling on college campuses throughout February. We need volunteers to help with tracking, collecting, and promoting during the month. If you're interested, email Brian Holcombe at brianh@uga.edu
